Custom Regulations
When you arrive in or leaving Belarus you must fill in a customs declaration where you show the amount of the currency brought in or out. The filled-in custom declaration must be kept carefully together with the passport and you must show them when you are leaving Belarus.
You are allowed to import:
goods and items up to an amount of 1000 USD for personal use only;
600 cigarettes of 300 grams of tobacco products;
3 liters of alcoholic beverages;
5 jewelry items;
3 leather and/or fur items;
1 video camera or video player/recorder;
foreign currency - unlimited, to be declared to avoid any problem when exporting it.
Pets: cats, dogs, and other animals, birds and fish must be accompanied by veterinarian health certificate.
Import prohibited:
military arms and ammunition;
narcotics, toxic, explosive and nuclear agents;
photographs and printed matter directed against Belarus;
local currency (belarusian roubles).
You allowed to export:
goods and items up to an amount of 10000 USD for personal use only;
foreign currency: 500 USD, or up to the amount imported and declared;
To bring out a larger sum of foreign currency, you need a permit of an authorized Belarusian bank.
Export prohibited:
military arms and ammunition;
narcotics, toxic, explosive and nuclear agents;
antiquities and art objects (subject to duty and special permit from the Ministry of Culture).
